"Temperance Map" by John Christian Wiltberger, Jr., 1838. Cornell University – PJ Mode Collection of Persuasive Cartography.

Welcome!

I am a PhD public historian based in the Washington, DC area. I currently research and write about urban space and transportation as Historian/Archivist for the Federal Transit Administration.

From 2020 until 2023, I was a consulting historian for the National Park Service, focusing on women’s history and the history of the American World War II Home Front. In 2019, I curated a digital exhibit on racism and women’s reform movements for the Center for Women’s History and Leadership Evanston, IL. I earned my PhD in US and Public History from Loyola University Chicago in 2022. My research focuses on race, gender, and party politics in the temperance movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Please explore this site to learn more about me and my work.
